⭐Ingredients:
1 cup rice
½ cup urad dal (split, skinned)
½ tsp fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
Salt – as required
Water – as needed
👩🍳 Method:
Wash idli rice and urad dal separately.
Soak rice for 6–8 hours and urad dal + methi for 4–5 hours.
Grind urad dal first till smooth and fluffy.
Grind rice slightly coarse.
Mix both batters well, add salt and mix gently.
Cover and ferment for 8–12 hours (overnight).
After fermentation, batter will rise and look airy.
Pour batter into greased idli moulds.
Steam for 10–12 minutes.
Serve hot with chutney & sambar 😍
