As much as I hate to do this but this campaign is a failure. This is the end of my Vampire Counts campaign. Wulfrik poses an existential threat that cannot be defeated by anything within the Vampire Counts roster. I can handle most anything but an army that utterly deletes my troops in an instant and ignores all battle strategy is not enjoyable nor engaging. It is simply frustrating and exhausting.
In this campaign I learned that betraying an ally, while suitable to the lore, takes over 40 turns to undo. Focusing on building up my cities would probably end in a victory, even against such an impossible enemy because I would have more vampires and wight kings to bring to the battle and more armies to bear against my enemies. That said, I'll almost certainly start a new Heinrich Kemmler campaign and have more time to devour my enemies while building my resources. Hope to see you there!
