The Band Face Pull is an excellent exercise to strengthen all of the muscles around the shoulder that become weak from sitting and inactivity. These muscles include the external rotators of the rotator cuff, the mid and lower traps, and the rear delts. Face Pulls can be done as a warmup exercise or an accessory to your other shoulder strength work.
Beginners should pull band to the forehead to start. After you get comfortable with the movement, pull the band above the head.
