So for the final stretch to get us to Middlesbrough, there was only really one unit that we could get on to get up there and that unit comes courtesy of a very controversial company but also courtesy of a unit that sounds just so mighty but just because it sounds mighty, doesn't mean it is mighty all around
And that unit in question is the Class 185 diesel Desiro from Transpennine Express and on this run from York to Middlesbrough, we are going to show you that these might be a member of the desiro family but they are anything but the pinnacle of German efficiency
