Ladies and gentlemen, you are watching an historical special presentation of a legendary television event that began on one television station in 1966.
Later, for decades, a Labor Day tradition broadcast on over 200 Love Network stations across the United States and Canada.
This is the 1983 Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association, Labor Day Telethon, starring Jerry Lewis.
We hope everyone who experienced this firsthand to relive the experience.

You've seen clips here on YouTube from many sources, but a Telethon was more than just a TV show.
At its best, it was something to experience in real time, emotionally, and in so many other ways, that you will now get to experience exactly like it was Labor Day, 42 years ago.
