I have a Consew 1206RB leather sewing machine and needed to reduce the speed. I had looked at new motors and speed reducing pulleys. I decided to get a speed reducing pulley before I got the new motor. I would need to get the speed reducing pulley either way and the pulley system seemed to give the best result.
This video is a guide on how to install the pulley on a table top sewing machine. This install is an account of the problems I encountered while installing the pulley. Your parts needed list may be different from mine however, this should be a good starting point for you.
