Sensory Processing Disorder, Nutrition, and Picky Eating

Feeding your child with a limited or restricted diet is a daily stressor. We do what we can to feed our children, but the battles, tears, and stress around mealtimes can sometimes be too much to handle on our own.

While sensory processing disorder MAY be the reason your child restricts food, a small variety of foods DOES NOT mean your child has SPD. In fact, there are many reasons why kids restrict. Before I provide recommendations focused on mealtimes, nutrition, and picky eating for kids with SPD, let's see if that is REALLY the root of the issue!

Feeding is complex, and this video is jam packed with info to stoke some thought about the "why," asses yours and your childs history with meals, and give some next steps for those of you that say "oh wait, THAT makes sense... not SPD."
