Some background:
In 1944 my wife's family purchased a piece of property in north-central Alberta with an existing house on it that had been a stopping point for feeding horses along the Athabasca Landing Trail. In that house was a phonograph made by the Hudson's Bay Company which contained some records, so we know the phonograph and records pre-date 1944. This beautiful phonograph has seen a lot of history in its lifetime, so we felt it fitting to honor it, the records found with it, and the musicians who created the music, on this channel in a weekly feature. 🎶💿

As far as we can determine, this phonograph and the records in it are 80-100 years old! They have had a lot of use and abuse in that time, so please be patient with any skips and slow spots you may hear in playback. These records have held up pretty well considering. . 🎶💿
