While travelling through Costa Rica I tried a lot of different foods, snacks and drinks. This is food tour that will take you all the way from the north to the south.
This food trip starts in La Fortuna, in the Arenal area. I cover a typical Costa Rican breakfast with gallo pinto ("spotted rooster"), lunch after some canyoning activities, and snacks from a bakery as well as dinner. And the stranges pina colada that I've ever seen.
The journey continued throughout Monteverde after that, and onwards to Manuel Antonio, Drake Bay at the Osa Peninsula, and finally San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Many different meals and snacks and beers were tested along the way, and I also tell you the history of the different foods. For example, why casado is called casado.
