Manchurian is one of the most famous Chinese appetizer that we usually have as a starter or as a combo with fried rice or noodles. Today I have made this recipe in a very healthy way which included a bunch of vegetable like cabbage,carrots,beans. Veg manchurian is such a simple recipe and you can prepare very quickly and easily for kids as well and they will love it.
Ingredients:
Manchurian balls:
1. Cabbage - 1 cup
2. Carrot - 3 tbsp
3. Beans - 4 to 6
4. Onion - 1
5. Corn flour - 2 tbsp
6. Maida - 2 tbsp
7. Green chilly - 1 tsp
8. Pepper - 1/4 tsp
9. Salt - as per taste
10. Oil - to fry
Gravy:
1. Oil - 3 tbsp
2. Garlic & ginger - 2 tbsp
3. Green chilly - 2
4. Onion - 1
5. Red chilly sauce - 2 tsp
6. Soy sauce - 1.5 tsp
7. Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
8. Corn flour - 1 tsp
9. Salt - as per taste
10. Spring onion - few (optional)
Home made red chilly sauce:
Soak 6 to 7 kashmir chilly overnight. Next day grind the chilly to a fine & thick paste. In a small pan add little oil and add the chilly paste. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until oil separates well. This red chilly sauce can be used in all manchurian recipes. You can also add a little of vinegar while cooking to increase the shelf life. This sauce can be stored in fridge and used for upto one week when you add vinegar to it.
