Welcome to Day 2 of our Baillies Do North Coast 500 vlog series! 🚐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The North Coast 500, often called Scotland’s Route 66, is a 516-mile road trip around the Scottish Highlands, packed with epic scenery, hidden gems, and unforgettable experiences.

After a very dramatic Day 1 (broken roof and van trouble 😅), today we were finally able to enjoy the magic of the NC500, and wow, what a day it was!

Here’s where we explored on Day 2:
🐬 Chanonry point - the best place in the UK to spot dolphins.
🧜 Mermaid of the North – one of the NC500’s most iconic coastal statues.
🍫 Cocoa Mountain – home to the 'world’s best hot chocolate.'
🏖️ Dornoch Beach – a stunning stretch of golden sand perfect for a family wander.
🌊 Brora Beach – wild, windswept, and beautifully remote.
🥾 Whaligoe Steps – 365 historic stone steps leading down to a dramatic harbour (and back up again… phew!).
🏰 Castle Sinclair Girnigoe – hauntingly beautiful ruins perched on the cliff edge.
⛺ Finished the day at John O’ Groats Campsite, ready to continue our adventure northwards!

Day 2 showed us exactly why the NC500 is so special, a mix of history, jaw-dropping landscapes, and family fun.
