I have been using wet and forget on my boat for a while now. You can certainly tell when it's been used and not been used. Typically I clean the boat first and when the boat is dry then spray it on. You don't need to clean as often. But it's winter and I had to go so a quick spray and off I went. I only did the starboard (right when looking forward) side to compare. The port side tends to be a little cleaner as that's the sunny side which helps dry the boat quicker and the UV helps kill the mold / mildew. It's actually a patio cleaner but just like may other boat owners.
I use it, I like it and I did pay my own money for it.
