And now, Jules Lund - who spent nine months in the role before being dumped - has revealed why he thinks the show keeps struggling. Speaking on Wil Anderson's Wilosophy podcast on Wednesday, the star agreed with Wil who suggested it was hard for new hosts who were thrust together to immediately find chemistry. During his brief stunt on 2DAY FM, Jules hosted the breakfast show alongside Sophie Monk, Merrick Watts and Mel B. Speaking to Jules on his podcast, Wil compared the situation to an 'arranged marriage', stating: 'If you watch Married At First Sight, none of them are with their original partners... so if they can’t last nine weeks of a TV show, how do you imagine a radio partnership’s going to last?' Jules responded: 'Isn’t that effectively what the radio industry here in Australia is? Like literally everyone just has radio shows and then they split up and do musical chairs.' By the time the four found their groove together on the air, Jules claimed 'No one was listening'. The group was replaced by Rove McManus and Sam Frost, who barely lasted 12 months in the role. In early 2017, Em Rusciano and Harley Breen debuted in the 2DAY FM breakfast slot, before Harley departed at the end of last year. Em now hosts with program with Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee, but the program still lags in the ratings. And speculation is growing that Em may soon be replaced, following claims staff reportedly 'quit the network' due to her 'diva' behaviour. 'Things are at breaking point, people just cannot work with her energy. There have been... casualties at the hands of Em Rusciano,' a source told the publication. 'The audio producer is now working on another show, the publicist is refusing to work with her and one of the producers has told the company that they are looking for other work.'
