The joint security forces have killed 85, convicted and sentenced 386 warriors in the ongoing disarmament operation in Karamoja sub region according to a latest Joint Internal Security report.
The operation Usalaama Kwawote was launched on 17th of July 2021 to restore stability in the volatile Karamoja Sub-region by dealing with cattle rustlers. Our reporter Nasil Lubwama breaks down the security inroads of UPDF, Police, the Anti-Stock Unit and Local Defense Units LDU in neutralizing warriors and cattle rustlers at the centre of causing insecurity in Karamoja.
