The Netherlands is withdrawing from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, the country's broadcaster said on Thursday (December 4), after Israel was cleared to enter at a meeting of the competition's organisers in Geneva.
Spain, Ireland and Slovenia would also withdraw, they said.
Opponents to Israel's participation had previously cited the death count in Gaza and accused the country of flouting rules meant to guard the contest's neutrality. Israel accuses its critics of mounting a global smear campaign against it.
