Starmer clashes with Trump over UK role in US-Israeli attack on Iran

Описание: The prime minister says he "stands by" his decision not to get involved in initial US strikes on Iran, despite criticism by US President Donald Trump.

Sir Keir Starmer was addressing MPs on Monday after the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran over the weekend.

He reiterated that the UK "was not involved in initial strikes on Iran by the US and Israel," and that the UK government supports a "negotiated settlement" in the country.

"President Trump has expressed his disagreement with our decision not to get involved in the initial strikes," he told MPs.
