Pull me up cake with a Sri Lankan twist
Boiling milk clay pot cake
Here’s how I did-
Sandwich 2 layers of 6 inch cakes
Cut out two 4 inch circles out of cardboard
Paste one on top of the cake and flip the cake upside down and do the same
Carve the cake and crumb coat
Chill and do the second layer of buttercream
Roll out brown fondant and cover the cake
Flip the cake paste a roll out fondant on top
Smooth the cake top with buttercream
Carve the pot as you desired
Write happy new year on the pot using edible marker
Make white chocolate ganache
WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE RECIPE
45g fresh cream
90g white chocolate
Microwave the cream for 30 seconds and mix the chocolate to make the ganache
*If you don’t have a microphone, double boil chocolate and cream
Make it look more white in colour to resemble milk using a tiny drop of purple colouring and with a bit of white gel food colouring
Make an acetate sheet round and tape it.
Fix it on top of the cake
Pour the white chocolate ganache
Pull the acetate sheet up to surprise your family or guests this new year ❤️😊
