This is the first episode of Anime I Avoided, a new reaction series where I finally give anime a chance that I previously skipped or avoided because of my first impression—whether it was the art style, the premise, the characters, or simply something that made me think it probably wasn't for me.

Ranking of Kings was an obvious choice for the first one. I had heard plenty of praise for the anime over the years, but its art style and character designs always made me hesitant to actually start watching it. So it was finally time to find out whether I had been completely wrong to avoid it.

This reaction was recorded live on Twitch during the same stream where I also checked out "Mob Psycho 100" and "Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon" for the first time.

Expect genuine first impressions, theories that may or may not be complete rubbish, thoughts about Bojji, Kage and the other characters, and my reaction to the story, animation and art style as Episode 1 develops.
