Even today, SC/ST/OBC citizens face discrimination: denied water, blocked from temples, insulted in schools.
This doesn’t mean the Constitution is wrong. It means the Constitution is not fully implemented on the ground.
What the Constitution says clearly:
Article 14 → Everyone is equal
Article 15 → Discrimination based on caste is illegal
Article 17 → Untouchability is completely banned
Article 21 → Every citizen has the right to live with dignity
SC/ST/OBC citizens are full citizens – not below anyone.
Why does caste discrimination still exist?
1️⃣ Mindsets haven’t changed – laws exist, but some people still think like the Manusmriti era.
2️⃣ Fear of law is missing – in villages, schools, temples people think: “Who will notice?”
3️⃣ Silence is deadly – victims stay silent, society stays silent
When will it end?
When every victim speaks
When every injustice leads to FIRs
When every child knows their rights
Remember:
The Constitution is not weak, the ones enforcing it sometimes are.
The problem is not citizenship, it is mindset.
✊ Constitution says: “Everyone is equal.”
If equality doesn’t exist on the ground, the fault lies in society, not the law.
