Haitian National Police (PNH) units increased street patrols across Port-au-Prince after notorious gang leader Jimmy “Barbecue” Chérizier urged his Viv Ansanm coalition to launch retaliatory attacks. His call for violence followed a Nov. 13–14 police operation that resulted in the killing of several gang members in the Cul-de-Sac Plain area.
