In alignment with the nationwide call, banking services across Jammu were significantly disrupted today, January 27, 2026. Thousands of bank employees and officers, under the banner of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), held massive demonstrations outside major bank branches and regional offices in Jammu city.
The strike comes as the climax of a long-standing struggle for better working conditions, following the failure of recent talks between the unions and the government.
