Ahead of the 17th annual Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour happening later this month, we visited artist and author Yvonne Pepin-Wakefield, whose work will be on display at her studio in The Dalles. Her paintings are created during her travels through rural Oregon, including at the tiny log cabin she built herself when she was 18 years old. Yvonne gave us a tour of her cabin, located outside of John Day, and talked about how the landscape inspires her artwork.
