Full disclaimer: this video does not go over features and benefits of the controllers, I mainly wanted to see if getting the "smaller, more portable" version would make my life as a Mobile DJ easier and the answer is...NO.
Two things to point out: I'm comparing this to the controller I use, the DDJ-RX which is almost identical in size to the DDJ-1000 so yes, it's not comparing "exact" controllers but sufficient for this comparison.
I'm on a mission to find the best setups for each type of gig and for this video, I was simply seeing if I could go down from a 4 channel to a 2 channel controller. I've used all 3 controllers mentioned, the ddj-800, ddj-1000, and the ddj-rx so feel free to drop any questions but again-this video is just to show the size and weight.
