Описание: "Mall Shootout" is the second mission given to you by Colonel Juan Cortez (found at the "C" icon on your map). It is widely remembered for its sudden transition from a simple meeting to a high-speed chase.
Mission Briefing
Colonel Cortez needs you to meet a French courier named Pierre La Ponce at the Washington Mall. Pierre is supposed to hand over some stolen guidance chips. The Colonel warns you that the French authorities might be watching.
The Walkthrough
Preparation: Before heading to the mall, it is highly recommended to stop at Ammu-Nation. You'll want a submachine gun (like the Mac 10 or Uz-I) so you can perform a "drive-by" during the chase.
The Meeting: Head to the Washington Mall in Ocean Beach. Go inside and follow the pink marker up the stairs to the second floor to meet Pierre.
The Ambush: As soon as you talk to Pierre, a squad of GIGN (French Special Forces) agents ambushes the deal. They will shout at you to freeze.
The Chase: Pierre panics, blames you for being followed, and makes a run for it. He jumps over the railing and hops onto a PCJ 600 (motorcycle) parked outside.
The Kill You must chase him through the streets of Vice City Beach.
Pro Tip: There is often a motorcycle or a fast car waiting right outside the mall exit where he jumps.
If you have a submachine gun, pull up alongside him and shoot until he falls off or his bike explodes. Alternatively, you can simply ram him with a heavy vehicle.
The Escape: Once Pierre is dead, pick up the briefcase (guidance chips) he drops. You will likely have a 2-star wanted level at this point.
Return: Drive back to Colonel Cortez’s yacht at the pier to complete the mission.
Mission Details
Target: Pierre La Ponce (the French courier).
Reward: $500.
Unlocks: The next Colonel Cortez mission, "Guardian Angels" (where you meet Ricardo Diaz for the first time).
