Pretty simple explanation on how to forge a dinner triangle and ringer. What they are called seems to differ by region, here in middle Tennessee we always just called them a triangle!
Triangles were used on farms, ranches, and on cattle drive chuck wagons to be rung at the midday meal time. The only reason I am explaining this is a coupe of years ago I had in my booth a group of Korean tourist who had no idea what they were for, pretty sure they didn't get it when they left either.
Different size stock makes different tones. The larger the stock and the larger the triangle the deeper the tone. The largest triangle that I make is out of 5ft of 1in round stock, very DEEEEEP! The ringer size makes a difference as well. Have fun experimenting with them!
