「浜松注染そめ」の技術を守り続けてきた二橋染工場。

染料を柄の部分に注ぐ伝統的な染色方法は、
表と裏が同じ柄に染まるだけでなく、
ぼかしやにじみという独特な表現もできる。

という特徴を持つ。その高い技術を活かし、
数年前からは焼津の「魚河岸シャツ」
の染色加工なども引き受けている、
浜松が世界に誇る職人集団。

Hamamatsu Hand-dyeing Shokunin (Hamamatsu Chusen-some Shokunin) Nihashi Dyeing Factory (Nihashi Some Kōjō)

Chusen-some (注染そめ):
A technique of dyeing form in Japan,
It was developed around the Meiji Era (1868-1912) and is one of the most common methods to dye tenugui (thin cotton hand towels) and yukata. Each step in this art form of dyeing requires precision and care.

Hamamatsu-shi boasts the largest production of yukata in Japan. In this city, Futahashi Dyeing Factory has been protecting the technique of "Hamamatsu hand-dyeing" since its establishment in 1927.

The traditional dyeing method in which the dye is poured onto the pattern simultaneously dyes the front and back in the same pattern. In addition, it allows a shokunin to utilize unique expressions such as graduation or blurriness of colors.

Utilizing their high techniques, they have dyed Yaizu-shi's "Uogashi Shirt (fish-market shirts, 魚河岸シャツ)" for several years. Hamamatsu-shi is proud of this world-class shokunin group
