Growing up, a favourite way for some of us is to dig into our hainanese chicken rice with large sides of achar. Those sweet and sour notes, paired together with silky smooth Hainanese chicken, and fragrant rice can be such a spectacular combo that is hard to beat!
The spice paste we used for the achar packs a punch, and balances with the fragrance of the chicken really well.
