Have you ever wondered what it's like to keep chickens or what morning chicken chores look like? Today, we're taking you through our morning chicken chore routine so you can see exactly what goes into caring for our flock. We keep our chicken feed and other supplies at the house because we use a mobile system, so watch as we fill up our buckets and head out to the field.
Join us as we care for about 30 layers, roosters, and chicks. From filling up feed buckets to moving the chickens around the pasture in our mobile coops, we cover all the essentials to ensure our chickens are healthy and happy. We use a setup from Premier One, including their poultry net and solar charger, to keep our chickens safe and well-managed.
You'll see the process of moving the chicken tractor, refilling feeders, letting the chickens out, and refreshing their nest boxes. We even show how we handle water supply using a nearby creek and share a fun treat for the chickens with overripe watermelons from our local fruit stand.
This daily routine takes about 15 minutes and is quite manageable. We hope you find this video helpful and informative. If you have any questions or comments about managing chickens on pasture, leave them below. And for more videos about chickens, check out the recommended links at the end.
