Skidboot and I attended several farmers markets in Dunster over the summer. The Dunster Farmers Market is pet friendly, so it's a great place to work on better focus around other dogs. We very rarely run into dogs while Skidboot is working (most stores in the valley don't allow dogs), so the markets are a great opportunity for that.
I find that generally Skidboot does a lot better in stores than at outdoor markets. I think the main reason for that is that when he first started working in public, there was no farmers markets or similar outdoor events due to Covid restrictions. So I've tried to attend as many as possible over the past two summers to give him more exposure. Living in a very rural area has both its advantages as well as its disadvantages.
