Connecting Fresno County: 12,000 Residents to Gain High-Speed Internet

On August 26, 2025, the County of Fresno joined AT&T, CPUC, and community partners to celebrate a groundbreaking milestone — the expansion of AT&T Fiber to more than 2,495 unserved locations, bringing high-speed internet access to an estimated 12,000 residents across Fresno County.
Supervisors Buddy Mendes (District 4), Luis Chavez (District 3), and Brian Pacheco (District 1) attended the celebration, as residents from their districts will directly benefit from this investment in connectivity.
We also extend our thanks to Congressman Jim Costa for joining us and supporting efforts to expand digital access for Fresno County families.
In addition, thanks to AT&T and HUMAN-I-T, 150 laptops and backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to students and families through the Boys & Girls Club of East Fresno — helping to bridge the digital divide and support our community’s future leaders.
Together, we’re building stronger connections and brighter opportunities for Fresno County families.
