This is the Most Ambitious Rail Build I’ve Ever Taken On... | MC 46

Описание: The Northern Superior Railroad just finished its new cargo terminal—and now it’s time for the next big step: building the rail connection to Clearwater Southern.

It’s a massive project with a major challenge: a 170 meter descent in just 4.5 kilometers. To keep grades safe for freight, engineers are taking inspiration from California’s Tehachapi Loop—designing a large freight spiral near Bend.

At the same time, Clearwater Southern is taking advantage of the anhanced rail funding coming with the project and building a new regional HQ in Bend. This new regional HQ will be a major highlight of the Bend skyline, and will redevelop one of the oldest blocks in town.

Finally, because I'm a gluten for pain—I’m moving the rail yard back to where it belongs. This is a project that could be an episode to itself, but we're going to tack it on to this one.
