Описание: From June 11th through June 17th I had the opportunity to travel and volunteer with Bay United Methodist Church on The Appalachian Service Project, an amazing group that tackles poverty in the Appalachian mountainous region of the United States. In one week, 8 groups from Bay Methodist were joined by other churches to improve the infrastructure of those living in Knox County, Kentucky, where over 30% live below the poverty line. Poverty exists in America, and groups such as the Appalachian Service Project work for 6-8 weeks every summer in numerous counties to try and combat it. It's important to talk about it, be aware of it, and do something about it.
