ECIA’s Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund funded by EPA and Iowa DNR’s Brownfield program provided the city of Clinton with funding to complete a remediation of the 1000 S 4th Street Block. It allowed for the safe removal of five multi-story, nuisance, and vacant buildings visible to all traveling to and from historic Clinton Downtown. The former Clinton YMCA building was also assisted through Phase I & Phase II assessments & the Revolving Loan Fund with a mixed use development to follow! These projects provides the opportunity for future economic growth and will completely transform the entrance and exit to downtown Clinton.
ECIA can help communities remove environmental concerns and barriers on properties lifting and removing the first hurdle on projects.
