For more than twenty years, Associate Professor Dr. Arabinda Rajkhowa of North Lakhimpur University has been working with a single vision — to open wider horizons for his students and connect them to a larger world of knowledge and experience.
This year, under his inspiring leadership, nearly one hundred students took part in the Third Dibrugarh University International Literary Festival. Among them, forty students stayed on the university campus for four enriching days, fully immersing themselves in the spirit of literature and dialogue.
Throughout the festival, Dr. Rajkhowa, along with Assistant Professor Munmi Dutta, stood beside the students — guiding, mentoring, and encouraging them at every step. From ensuring their stay and well-being to engaging them in thoughtful daily discussions, they created an environment of learning beyond the classroom.
The students had the rare opportunity to interact with writers and literary figures from fifteen countries, exploring new ideas, perspectives, and critical conversations.
Though the festival venue is nearly 150 kilometers away, this is not the first time such an initiative has been taken. For the past two years as well, Dr. Rajkhowa has led his students to this international platform.
It is more than participation — it is a continuous commitment to nurture, inspire, and empower the new generation.
