The ACT Government is delivering new and upgraded public schools to meet the needs of our growing city. We are building a new preschool to year 6 School and Early Childhood Education Care Centre (ECEC) in the suburb of Whitlam. This will enable the growing local population to get an excellent education close to home.
This modern, sustainable facility will be an inclusive space to support all students. The design will include flexible spaces that will foster student development and learning. Once complete, the school will accommodate up to 780 preschool to year 6 students and 130 places in the ECEC.
In the project's early stages, the school is referred to as its location, Whitlam ECEC to year 6 School. It is anticipated the new school will open in 2026.
