In this episode, I am talking about the basic PROCEDURAL TEXTURES in the latest update of Blender 3.0 Geometry Nodes Field:
Noise Texture
Musgrave Texture
Bricks Texture
etc
Not long ago, we have a way to displace surface of mesh using Shader and Displacement, which will happen at render time. This works as normal displacement or Vector Displacement.
Today, we actually can do this on the fly using Geometry Nodes and recently added Procedural Textures Nodes.
This kind of stuff sounds slightly abstract for beginner, but super useful and powerful to get you into a more complex setup, which usually involving you to SET POSITION and pushing and pulling it using Vector Math. Enjoy!
