Teton National Park Backpacking - Day 2 - Death Canyon Shelf to Alaska Basin + Sunset Lake + snow!

Описание: July 2022: Five-day, four-night, 86-mile circumnavigation of the Grand Tetons, starting and ending at String Lake, with a loop around Death Canyon, Death Canyon Shelf, Alaska Basin, Hurricane Pass, South Cascade, Lake Solitude, Paintbrush Divide and Upper Paintbrush. When we arrived, there was still a lot of snow and we were told we would definitely need crampons and an ice axe and would possibly be unable to go over certain passes, specifically Paintbrush. While some areas were hairy, we did have crampons, ice axes and full snow gear and were able to complete the loop without ever having to use them.

This area was very beautiful and thanks to the snow, we nearly had it all to ourselves most of the time.
