It's a great idea to use female insulated crimp connectors as a fuse holder for automotive fuses when weather resistance is not a concern. It would be even better if we can add a LED indicator to show when the fuses are blown. Such fuse holders are available for purchase for a few dollars.
You can also try to make your own by incorporating a 2 to 3K 1/2watt resistor and a red LED. Attach one end of the LED positive with the resistor to one side of the blade fuse and the other end of the LED wire to the other side of the blade fuse. You can do this by soldering if you need a more secure connection.
Since the fuse carries the full current when the load is turned on, the LED will not light. When the fuse blows, current will flow through the resistor and the LED to lit up the LED. Use a higher value resistor if the want the LED to be dimmer when the fuse blows.
