Описание: This video is a more complete view of using the GOLDROP, Magnet Sluice, Spin-It-Off and Gold Claw pan as a team to recover gold. Classifying both alluvial and hard rock ores to -3mm and processing them through the GOLDROP's elutriation technology using vertical water flow to separate the more dense gold from less dense ore and solar power may be a potential clean process to eliminating mercury from the mining practices of artisanal miners throughout the world. The use of solar energy to charge the 12V battery enables the use of the GOLDROP where power for other devices is limited or may not be available. Handling elemental mercury, a neurotoxin, to recover gold is toxic to the human body and bioaccumulates meaning it never leaves the body. It can cause mercury poisoning, Minamata Disease, with effects to the body including uncontrollable muscular tremors, blindness and eventually death to artisanal miners and their family members. Mercury acts like a magnet to gold particles and is used extensively by millions of artisanal miners around the world. Adding the mercury into the gold panning process creates a gold/mercury amalgam. The amalgam is then burned to vaporize away most of the mercury creating toxic mercury fumes released into the atmosphere where it can remain for up to a year floating everywhere being breathed by humans and animals. The remaining mercury coated gold is then boiled in nitric acid to clean the gold to make it appear shiny and brilliant creating more toxic fumes to float away exposing all who are around to breathe in this toxic air. From here the mercury vapors fall out of the atmosphere settle on the ground and in the water polluting the water all creatures drink and the fish that live in the water which are eaten spreading mercury poisoning, now transformed into methylmercury, to others. The fallout also contaminates the ground where food is grown and consumed. 6 tons of mercury vapors are daily released used by artisanal miners making mercury to recover gold the largest source of mercury pollution throughout the world. This is why a new technology is being sought out to replace this insidiously toxic practice to recover gold. I present the GOLDROP to be considered as a potential solution to eliminating mercury to recover gold using water and solar power as an humanitarian and environmentally sound technology.
