From about 1987 to 2000 Alans Records was an independent music shop, based in Wigan (Market St, then Hallgate, then Mesnes Street). When the record side of the business was closed around 2000, the stock was put away in boxes.

The record shop reopened for one week 2012 thanks to a piece in The Guardian by Laura Barton.

In total there about approximately 1,500+ 7" records a few CD's the odd 10" or 12". Any further CD/12"/LP stock we have left is at another location inaccesible at this time. About 21 boxes in total.

Most of the 7" stock is new from the shop, there are a few boxes of used. The majority of the genes being 90's indie with some punk/emo, hardcore/straight edge, garage and grunge in there as well including:
