Hello,
I had about 4 metres of striped cotton fabric that belonged to a seamstress in the sixties and I had to find a purpose for it. I had also long wanted to make a nightgown with lots and lots of pintucks. It was a challenging project because I usually (or rather: always) give up on pintucks. This time I managed to sew nine, only one fewer than what I had intended to make.
You may remember my Edwardian chemises. I used the same pattern from Making Edwardian Costumes For Women by Suzanne Rowland.
Although I intended it as a nightgown, I think it would make a very pretty apron or summer dress as well.
