When I reached the Water Hall I had a good amount of ammo. Everything was fine until I wasted ALL of it due to a mechanic of the game that doesn't allow the player to kill the enemies below if you haven't jumped down. After several failures trying to keep the enemies away from Ashley in the final part I decided to go back for the magnum to use the extra ammo and firepower and ended up getting through.
