The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has already caused the biggest disruption in the global oil supply ever seen, but is also threatening agriculture, manufacturing and technology industries, says Jim Krane, a fellow in Middle East energy studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. 'The loss of access to that single strait is just causing cascading effects on the global economy.'
