This video shows Wrightsville Fire Department's "Men in Black" during the 1930's at the fire station and other areas of Wrightsville Borough in York County, PA. Since 1887, the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 has been 100% Volunteer.
A few notable clips include a distant bridge crossing the Susquehanna River, the John Wright/Donsco Buildings, and the appearance of a puppy at 1:10.
For the Fire Service Buffs the video includes a 1930 Seagrave Suburbanite pumper, MSA Chemox, long coats, tailboard riders, dual 3" supply line, and surplus WWI helmets.
Enjoy!
