Not a book reader? Same.
But lately, Instagram started to feel… numbing. Like all my energy was being drained by endless wedding reels, travel dumps, and people living their best lives on loop. I began feeling disconnected—from myself.
A friend casually said, “Maybe restart reading?”
Now listen—I’ve tried to become a “reader” before. Always felt like a chore.
But here’s the twist:
I have read books. All 8 Harry Potter volumes (on my phone!), The Girl Who Drank the Moon, and even The End of Us by Colleen Hoover.
Yet I couldn’t get through Jane Austen or Agatha Christie. Dropped them halfway.
So maybe I’m not a “reader,” but I do love stories that feel like they see me.
And that’s exactly what The Midnight Library by Matt Haig did.
No spoilers here, but it’s about a woman named Nora who’s stuck in life—and suddenly gets the chance to explore all the lives she could’ve lived.
Sounds deep? It is. But also very binge-worthy. Like Netflix, but on paper.
The chapters are short. The writing? Super accessible. You won’t feel overwhelmed or bored.
And if you, like me, only stick with books (or songs) you deeply relate to—you’ll probably find a part of yourself in Nora too.
📚 So here’s my non-reader tip: Grab this book.
It might just be your way back to yourself.
Let me know in the comments if you give it a try!
