society has convinced us that creativity is selfish, impractical, and only for the "naturally gifted" - and i think that's one of the most damaging lies we've been told. for so much of my life, i was obsessed with perfection and productivity. i chose a practical career in tech and pushed aside all the things that lit me up inside, only to end up feeling unfulfilled and burnt out - despite being successful on paper.
