Spending years as a wide-body John James racecar, it found its way into the hands of Chris Ashton from Ruffian Cars, marking his first venture into air-cooled Porsches. But destiny had other plans for this thick-rear-ended orange beast. After surviving a catastrophic mudslide, it underwent a Tesla direct-drive electric motor swap, sparking a series of mishaps that kept it off the road for most of the three years Chris has owned it. Now, back in action, this electrified devil defies expectations as it surprises a skeptical Nicole during her first drive in this classic yet modernized Porsche.
