I didn’t want my bed in the back of the van which is the most common way to store bicycles inside (under the bed platform). Having traveled over a year with my bike on the hitch rack of my truck camper, I knew I wanted my van build to accommodate inside bike storage and away from the elements. In a van, where every inch counts, I found hanging to be the most space efficient solution. It’s now been hanging in the van (medium roof transit) for over a year and a half with no problems. It only takes up the width of the pedals (or could be even narrower by removing the pedals) and you can still store stuff around the bike within that space.

This particular rack is a Cycloc Endo but I have seen the similar functioning Schwinn wall hanger that would work about the same for less than $20. I, however, wanted a wider base so I could use 4 screws and drill thru the mount so I could securely install the bike mount on the board I already had mounted into the frame of the van, so I chose the Cycloc. There are cheaper functioning options if you get creative or if your build has a larger stud to drill into. I went this route and it has worked well so far! (Knock on wood!)
