Tamil Nadu is preparing for the imminent Cyclone Fengal. The deep depression in the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm, making landfall between Karaikal and Mamallapuram on Saturday afternoon. The cyclone is predicted to bring winds of 70-80 kmph and widespread rainfall across the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until 1st December. Schools in Chennai and Chengalpattu districts have been closed due to the adverse weather conditions.
