Instant Rava Idli Recipe | 2 Types Instant Idli Without Fermentation
Kanchipuram Instant Idli & Instant Vegetable Idli | Soft & Spongy Breakfast Recipe
Make soft, fluffy & no-fail Instant Rava Idli at home without fermentation!
In this video, we are sharing 2 popular South Indian style Instant Idli recipes using the same base batter:
✅ Kanchipuram Style Instant Rava Idli
✅ Instant Vegetable Rava Idli
Ingredients for Instant Rava Idli Batter (Common):
• 1 tbsp Pure ghee (शुद्ध घी)
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds (जीरा)
• 1 tsp Mustard seeds (राई)
• 2 tsp Urad dal (उड़द दाल)
• 2 tsp Chana dal (चना दाल)
• 3–4 Green chillies, chopped (हरी मिर्च)
• 2 tsp Ginger paste / chopped ginger (अदरक)
• 10–12 Curry leaves, chopped (कड़ी पत्ता)
• 12–15 Cashew nuts, chopped (काजू)
• ¼ tsp Hing / Asafoetida (हींग)
• ½ cup Fresh coriander, chopped (हरा धनिया)
• 2 cups Sooji / Rava – medium or mota (सूजी)
• Salt to taste (नमक)
• A pinch of Black salt (काला नमक)
• 2 cups Curd / Yoghurt (दही)
• Eno fruit salt – 1 tsp per 1 cup batter (ईनो)
• Water as required (पानी)
• 8 to 10 Pepper Corn (काली मिर्च का दाना)
• Pinch Haldi (चुटकी भर हल्दी)
Additional Ingredients for Instant Vegetable Idlis:
• ¼ cup Green peas (हरी मटर)
• ¼ cup French beans, chopped (फ्रेंच बीन्स)
• ¼ cup Carrot, chopped (गाजर)
• ¼ cup Capsicum, chopped (शिमला मिर्च)
• ¼ cup Sweet corn kernels (स्वीट कॉर्न)
• ½ tsp Turmeric powder (हल्दी)
• 1 tsp Pav bhaji masala / Sambhar masala
• 1 tsp Eno fruit salt (ईनो)
• Water as required (पानी)
🍛 Coconut Mint Chutney Ingredients
• ½ cup Fresh coconut, grated (नारियल)
• ¼ cup Roasted chana dal / Daliya dal (भुनी चना दाल)
• ¼ cup Fresh coriander leaves (हरा धनिया)
• 8–10 Mint leaves (पुदीना)
• Marble-sized Tamarind (इमली)
• 2–3 Green chillies (हरी मिर्च)
• ¼ tsp Cumin seeds (जीरा)
• Salt to taste (नमक)
Chutney Tempering (Tadka)
• 1 tbsp Oil (तेल)
• ½ tsp Chana dal (चना दाल)
• ½ tsp Urad dal (उड़द दाल)
• ½ tsp Mustard seeds (राई)
• Few Curry leaves (कड़ी पत्ता)
• 2 Dried red chillies (सूखी लाल मिर्च)
Topping of Idlis:
8 to 10 Whole Cashewnut (काजू)
2 tbsp Desiccated Coconut (नारियल का बुरादा)
Some Curry Leaves (करी पत्ते)
